SCPH-5000: New PU-8 main board (has RCA jacks), 100V PSU, NTSC:J mechacon, Japanese boot ROM, NTSC There are SCPH-5000 and SCPH-5003, and they both match the pattern for other part numbers: There IS a 7001, which I do have, but it's weird that I see the 5001 on lists of models, but cannot find a *single* photo of one. ![]() Does anyone know if the 5001 *actually* exists, or is it just a duplicate of the 5501 that keeps getting added to lists and stuff as a separate model cause people keep abbreviating 5501 to 5001? But I have literally never even seen a picture of one, and every listing or pic I DO find is of the SCPH-5501. Now, according to lists I find online, there is an SCPH-5001 model that's NTSC-U/C, and that would be the *only* US model I am missing. for now!), even duplicates from other regions (not PAL yet, cause they're harder to get state-side than NTSC-J consoles due to being able to use proxy sites like Sendico). I have nearly every non-special model of PS1 (I am missing the debug consoles, the Net Yaroze, the VCD version. ![]() I'm a Playstation console collector and am doing some in-depth testing and teardown photography of my PS1s for preservation and funsies.
